Organizing Your Cabinet Under The Sink

When we organize our home, stashing stuff under our sinks can be a challenge considering the limited amount of space we have. To help me make that space more useful and functional, I invested in purchasing a couple of sliding drawers. I was able to categorize each drawer and add things that could be accessed easily. The picture below shows the "before" of how I kept my things in bins and baskets. To get to one thing out, I would have to pull out all the bins/baskets and it just made access to everything difficult and time consuming. This is when I thought investing in good sliding drawers would come in handy!

I categorized my items and made sure I purged along the way. For example, I go through all the medicines every couple of months to make sure I toss out the expired items and replaced them with new ones. When you have kids, you always have to have a backup of all the cough and fever medicines. I also made a pile of all the travel supplies that I keep in handy. The drawers I purchased are similar to these that I found on Amazon. You can purchase any size according to the space you have under your sink. I categorized the drawers into: Medicines, Syringes and travel size bottles, Extra travel supplies (such as toothpastes, deodorants, toothbrushes, etc.), and toiletry bags. Above one of the sliding drawers, I kept all the extra things I usually stock up on like shampoo, moisturizers, sunscreen etc. I hope these ideas will help you in achieving a more organized and functional space underneath your sink!
